Taylor, based in NW Portland, is a compassionate and experienced DSP available Monday–Wednesday and Friday–Sunday after 4:15 PM, and Thursdays after 3:15 PM, looking to work 25–35 hours per week. With eight years of experience, including time as a preschool teacher, Taylor enjoys working with children and neurodivergent individuals, helping them communicate and express themselves in ways that feel most comfortable. Some of his proudest achievements include helping non-verbal students begin speaking in small words and learning sign language to communicate with a client who was blind in one eye and non-verbal. Taylor is caring, personable, LGBTQ+ friendly, and certified as a peer support specialist. He is experienced with hair and nail care and comfortable supporting clients with high medical needs, high behaviors, bathing, lifting, and transferring. He is also comfortable with pets, public transportation, riding with clients, and being in environments with marijuana but not tobacco smoke. While he does not currently provide client transportation due to not having a vehicle, he has a valid driver’s license and is open to driving if a vehicle is provided. Taylor is dedicated to creating meaningful connections and supporting clients in a way that allows them to thrive.
